WEST VILLAGE TOWNHOUSE RENOVATION
This project was a complete gut renovation in a landmarked district. The clients wanted the house to feel like it had not been touched in eighty years, but they also wanted every modern convenience. We recreated a version of the bar at the Connaught Hotel in London, used parts of the bluestone sidewalk at Independence Hall in Philadelphia for dovetailed kitchen countertops, installed a salvaged mantlepiece in the living room and reconfigured the entire house to suit the clients' lifestyle.
